Over the Rainbow
Project Overview:The "Over the Rainbow Project" is a charitable initiative aimed at providing essential school supplies to daycare centers in underprivileged areas of Mumbai. The project is designed to improve the learning experience of young children who attend these daycare centers by equipping them with basic learning materials, such as workbooks, crayons, and educational toys.
The lack of access to basic learning materials is a major barrier to education for many children in underprivileged areas of Mumbai. This project seeks to address this challenge by providing daycare centers in these areas with the necessary tools to create a more engaging and interactive learning environment for children.
The project will work with local communities, schools, and NGOs to identify daycare centers in underprivileged areas of Mumbai that are in need of these supplies. The project team will then procure and distribute the supplies to these centers, working closely with local suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality materials at an affordable price.
In addition to providing essential school supplies, the project will also conduct workshops and training sessions for daycare center staff and teachers to ensure that they are able to effectively use the materials provided. These workshops will focus on best practices for engaging young children in learning activities, as well as techniques for creating a safe and supportive learning environment.

2023 - Over the Rainbow Project Status and Updates
Educational Toys for 2 Balwadis (Daycare centers)
Educational toys are specially designed to stimulate a child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Educational toys can be used to teach a variety of skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, language, and creativity. They come in various forms, such as puzzles, building blocks, musical instruments, and educational games.

Library books for 2 Balwadis (Daycare centers)
Books helps kids develop language skills and improve vocabulary while increasing focus and creativity. As part of this project we will be providing each Balwadi with educational and story books.

Yearly School Supplies
This project involves providing each student in the Balwadi (~80 kids) with school supplies. Supply include: pencils, colors and notebooks.
By providing these supplies we reduce the load on parents and ensure all students have basic supplies for the school year.

Supplies for The Happy Home and School for the Blind (Depending on Need)

Workbooks for 2 Balwadis (Daycare centers)
This project involves providing each student in the Balwadi (~80 kids) with 2 workbooks that will be designed by local Artist. The cost includes artist fees for the cover design and printing costs.
